Teen Says It’s a ‘Miracle’ He Survived Crash That Killed His 2 Best Friends After They Were All Ejected from Vehicle

The teenage survivor of a high-speed single vehicle crash in Utah, Corey Wayman, 15, and his two best friends, Ava Olivarez, 17, and Xander Hover,15, were killed after they were ejected from the vehicle. The incident occurred around 6:17 p.m. local time on April 2. The Juab County Sheriff's Office stated that the three occupants, a 17-year-old female and two 15-year old males, did not wear seat belts and were pronounced dead at the scene. Wayman survived with a broken collarbone, a brain bleed and injuries to his hand. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. Separate GoFundMe campaigns have been established for each teen's families.
