Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass attended the ribbon-cutting ceremonies for Cinespace's new studio complex in Woodland Hills, over 25 miles from City Hall. The new 180,000-square-foot campus is located in the former headquarters and manufacturing facility for Catalina Yachts and boasts six 18,000 square-foot soundstages with 30-foot clearances, 72,000 sq ft of production offices and support space. The first tenant is the thriller "Nightwatching," which has been shooting on Stages 2 and 3 since February. Cinescore Studios co-CEO Eoin Egan explained that the company wanted a "one-stop shop" where they could establish a base base. The complex was located in a busy retail district with tenants such as a deli, a liquor store, a nail salon, a chiropractor, and a Home Depot.
