Christopher Anderson, a photographer who once shot a portrait of Jeffrey Epstein, is speaking out after his name surfaced in connection with newly released files. He described the experience as "creepy" and described it as an unsettling after the shoot. Anderson claims that Epstein initially gave him a check and then demanded the photos be turned over, but this arrangement changed when he made clear that the images wouldn't be available until after publication. He alleges that Epstein then sent his bodyguard and driver, Merwin, to confront him and retrieve the hard drive. This confrontation led to New York Magazine shelving the story at the time, but Anderson has now retained backup copies on another drive. Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide while awaiting trial on federal sex-trafficking charges in August 2019.
