The Mobile County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) has arrested its first woman since launching its Internet Crimes Against Children unit three years ago. The arrest was made following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 20-year-old Kiara Ford is facing 10 felony charges for allegedly having and sending child porn. This arrest marks the 500th felony charge the unit has arrested since they started their ICAC unit in 2023. Investigators say social media platforms like Telegram, Instagram, and Facebook are most common places for child porn to be exchanged.
