`Shoulder Tap' Decoy Operation Planned Saturday Statewide

A statewide "shoulder tap" operation is being conducted by the Association of California (AA) and 58 local law enforcement agencies to reduce youth access to alcohol and enforce the law. The operation aims to make no arrests and serve no citations for individuals who solicit alcohol from individuals under the age of 21. The San Diego Police Department and the San Diego County Sheriff's Office did not confirm their involvement in the operation, but will release details after the operation concludes.
