Former Presidents’ Aides Dispute Trump’s Claim That One Of Them Privately Praised His Iran Strikes

The aides of all four living former U.S. presidents have refuted President Donald Trump's claim that one of them privately expressed a desire to praise his actions in striking Iran and taking out its Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. The president made the claim during a meeting of the Kennedy Center’s board and claimed that he had spoken to a "certain president, who I like, actually — a past president," who said, “I wish I did it.” However, when asked if this was George W. Bush, the only living former Republican President, Trump declined to identify the former president. All four former presidents denied talking to Trump.
