No. 1 seed Arizona advanced to the Elite Eight after a record-breaking 109-88 victory over fourth-seeded Arkansas in San Jose. The Wildcats, coached by Steve Kerr, had six players score at least 14 points for the first time in NCAA Tournament history. They also shot 63.8% from the floor (37-of-58), the highest percentage in a Sweet 16 game since 2005. Despite a strong performance from Arkansas freshman guard Darius Acuff Jr. The West Regional final match will be against No. 2-seed Purdue.
