Kennedy Center board approves two-year closure for $250 million renovation

The board of the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has unanimously voted to close the facility for two years, starting after July 4. The decision was made by the Trump-appointed board, who also named Matt Floca as the center's COO and executive director. The $250 million renovation is expected to transform the center into "the finest performing arts facility" in the world.
