Hopkins Park gets new tornado siren

A new tornado siren has been installed in the village of Hopkins Park, a little over a week after an EF-3 tornado hit Kankakee County. The new siren cost the village around $13,000 and was installed by Richards Building Supply. The installation had been delayed due to inclement weather. The siren is located at the intersection of South Main Street and East Central Avenue.
