AI chip startup Cerebras files for IPO

Cerebras Systems, a startup building what CEO Andrew Feldman calls "the fastest AI hardware for training and inference," has filed for an initial public offering in 2024. This move was delayed due to a federal review of an investment from Abu Dhabi-based G42 and ultimately withdrawn. The company raised a $1.1 billion Series G at an $8.9 billion valuation last year. It has announced an agreement with Amazon Web Services to use its chips in its data centers and reportedly a $10 billion deal with OpenAI.
