Published on April 11, 2026.
Warwickshire strengthened their advantage over Sussex on the second day of a County Championship Division One match, dismissing them for 204 runs and taking a first innings lead of 63 runs. Despite a strong start in the first innings, Sussex lost eight wickets for 72 runs before a ninth-wicket partnership between captain Ollie Robinson and Jack Carson led them to a partial recovery. In their second innings, Warwickshhire scored 154-5, extending their advantage to 217 runs. Sussex were undone by a combination of a sporting wicket, improved bowling, marginal umpiring decisions and poor strokes from Tom Haines, James Coles and John Simpson.
