Chiba Prefectural Police has dismissed a 29-year-old officer over a drunken motorcycle crash and suspended another officer for six months for betting 100 million yen on illegal online casinos. The officer was caught red-handed and arrested after drinking heavily and driving his motorcycle into an unoccupied car. The other officer, who was referred to prosecutors on suspicion of habitual gambling, also voluntarily resigned from the force.
