Chris Olave's New Contract is Great News for Cowboys WR George Pickens

The Dallas Cowboys are set to begin the 2026 season with wide receiver George Pickens on the franchise tag, starting the season with him on the 20 26 season. This follows the New Orleans Saints' signing of wide receiver Chris Olave to a four-year, $124 million contract, making him the eighth-highest paid receiver in the NFL. Despite Olave's career-best season in 2025, Pickens' performance in Dallas was even better, finishing with 93 catches for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns in his first year with the Cowboys. Despite this, the Cowboys may franchise tag Pickens again next year, but the future of Pickens and CeeDee Lamb is uncertain.
