3 Auburn Players Who Could Break Out, Boost Stock in Fall Camp

The Auburn Tigers are preparing for their first fall camp of the season opener against Baylor on Sept. 5. Despite concerns at several key positions, however, there are opportunities for players to make a statement and potentially earn more playing time in fall camp. Baylor transfer running back Bryson Washington, who spent three years with the Bears before transferring to Auburn, could compete for valuable snaps behind starter Jeremiah Cobb. Sophomore defensive back Blake Woodby is considered one of the most exciting sophomores in the Tigers’ defensive back room, despite limited action last season. The most interesting position battle is on the offensive line, particularly at the two guard spots, with USF transfer Cole Best set to start at center and Michigan State transfer Stanton Ramil and James Madison transfer Jo Simmons expected to start.
