Lobbyists edge out lawmakers in charity hockey showdown

The 16th annual Congressional Hockey Challenge saw Team Lobbyists beat Team Lawmakers 4-3 in a historic shootout after a 3-3 tie. The game, which took place at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, was held without a trophy. The event aims to raise money for charity and educate the sport of hockey in underserved communities. The winning team included congressional members and prominent figures such as FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Secretary of the Interior Kate MacGregor. Despite the loss, Team Lobbyist Adrienne Mortimer said the team would take it back, while Team Lawmaker goalkeeper Rep. Rob Bresnahan (R-Pa.) said he felt alive during the game.
