The Oklahoma Ethics Commission has reached a settlement of more than $30,000 with the Oklahoma House Democratic Campaign Committee (OHDCC) after finding violations during a previous election cycle. The commission found that Joe Hartman, the former Treasurer and Chair of the PAC, failed to maintain records, there were report inaccuracies, and some payments directly to Hartman during the 2024 election cycle were made. The settlement requires Hartman to pay $32,500 to the state and the OKHDCC to contribute $5,000. As part of the settlement, the respondents have agreed to adopt revised record-keeping and expenditure policies to prevent similar violations.
