The parents of the 4-year-old boy killed in Burlingame, Ayden Fang, are filing a civil lawsuit against the city, the driver, and the parents of an e-bike rider involved in the crash. The San Mateo County District Attorney's office declined to file criminal charges against the driver. The lawsuit alleges that the driver was on a prescription drug that impaired judgment and that even when a teenager gets his license, it doesn't mean they are safe. The family also wants to see restrictions on children driving e-bikes. The City of Burledame made a change after the crash, but the parents believe it should also remove one of the right and possibly an additional parking spots.
