Cattle Look to New Month of Trade

Live cattle futures posted $2 to $4.70 losses on Friday, with April being $9.77 lower on the week. The CME Feeder Cattle Index dropped another 38 cents to $372.79 on February 26. Despite this, open interest on live cattle futures rose by 4,063 contracts. Wholesale Boxed Beef prices also rose, with Choice boxes up $1.95 to $379.84 and Select being $3.52 higher.
