Among these lawmakers are Allen, who has achieved significant policy victories over the past four years, including restructuring the jurisdiction between the Tuskaloosa City Board of Education and Tuscala County School System, shifting areas outside city limits back under county control and addressing tax distribution. Republican State Rep. Bill Lamb, who is running unopposed in the upcoming Republican primary and general election, also made the list with legislation recently sent to the governor's desk that adjusts thresholds and requirements for municipal audits, potentially reducing burdens on smaller municipalities.
