A statewide outdoor warning siren drill will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in preparation for the upcoming severe weather season. During the drill, NOAA weather radios, participating outdoor sirens and county alert systems will be tested. It is recommended that people use multiple methods to receive weather alerts, including county notifications, and trusted weather apps. Additionally, Cowley County will change its regular weekly siren testing time to 11 am. The testing will be postponed if severe weather is expected or cause public confusion.
