Newport, Kentucky, residents are concerned about rising gun violence in their neighborhood, with one suspect, Cecil McCutchen, facing several felony charges after he shot several rounds into a moving vehicle. The incident occurred at the corner of West Seventh and Isabella Street and witnesses saw two vehicles speeding east and then a man on the sidewalk firing multiple rounds towards them. Another bullet hit the front door of an unoccupied home as police responded to reports of several shots fired. Residents believe that most of the violence is being done by teenagers, and the violence needs to stop.
