WDSU's First Warning Weather ALERT Day includes a potential for severe weather conditions throughout the night. The biggest concern is the potential for damaging winds, isolated tornado risk, which could cause significant damage. The Storm Prediction Center has been upped and upgraded the threat for SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS for the North and South American coast. The big concern is for damage to the wind, but there is also a lesser concern for a potential flooding threat. Despite this, the weather is expected to remain dry and mild, with some heavy rainfall expected throughout the day. A TORNADO WATCH is expected for the West through 6 P.M. The weather service has also issued a Tornado watch for parts of the West and East Louisiana.
