Local NYC hoops stars bid for chance to play in Tracy McGrady’s new Ones Basketball League

The first NYC event for Tracy McGrady's new Ones Basketball League (OBL), a reboot of the one-on-one league recently announced by McGrady, saw local street basketball players compete in the league as members of Team New York. The OBL is part streetball revival, part global showcase, with hopes that it will allow for the sport to be recognized globally and nationwide. The team will be led by hip-hop icon and basketball enthusiast Jadakiss, who attended the tryouts to connect with players and bring some local star power. The league aims to grow the sport nationwide and globally. The first OBL tryouts drew players from all over the city, with many of them playing at West 4th Street, Dykman Park, and Rucker Park.
