Syracese legend Carmelo Anthony supports Gerry McNamara's return to coach at his alma mater, Syracuse. Anthony, who is the father of Syracuse freshman Kiyan Anthony, believes McNamara is the right person to fully develop his son. The elder Anthony was teammates with McNamara on Syracuse's 2003 national championship team and said the school was right for hiring him. Despite an up-and-down freshman campaign at Syracuse, there has been speculation about Kiyan's future at the college level.
