H&M is reviving its designer collab with Stella McCartney, 20 years after their first collection debuted in 2005. The collaboration aims to democratize luxury while increasing brand visibility. However, H&M has been criticized for its fast fashion model, which encourages high-volume consumption and short product lifecycles. The 2026 collection will revisit iconic designs from McCartney’s archives while making them accessible at lower price points. The company has also committed to ensuring each piece is produced using more sustainable methods. As part of this initiative, H &M is launching an Insights Board in collaboration with McCartney to guide future sustainability decisions. The retailer has also reaffirmed its goal of using 100% recycled or sustainably sourced materials by 2030.
