A 39-year-old man was arrested after allegedly attacking a man in a wheelchair near the Las Vegas Strip on Feb. 28. The incident occurred in the area of Elvis Presley Boulevard and Las Vegas Boulevard South. Jacob Danielson, later identified as Danielson of North Las Vegas, was seen fleeing from the scene, shouting at passersby and appearing agitated. Danielson was eventually stopped by an officer and taken into custody without incident. The victim, who was in his 50s and uses a wheelchair, claimed Danielson approached from behind and then grabbed his collar and pulled with enough force that the victim was bent forward and nearly pulled from his wheelchair. The suspect was booked on a charge of battery involving an elderly/vulnerable person and is due back in court on April 28.
