Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has signed a bill that will rename Palm Beach International Airport after President Donald Trump. The bill, which was delivered to him earlier in the day, will be named after Trump, who has been praised by his son Eric Trump and the attorney general, Attorney General James Uthmeier, and bill sponsor Rep. Meg Weinberger. The House voted 81-30 along party lines in support of the bill, and the Senate voted 25-11. The law, effective July 1, prevents local governments from renaming several airports throughout the state. The name change is dependent on approval from the Federal Aviation Administration and an agreement between Palm Beach County and the trademark holder for commercial use of the name Donald J. Trump International Airport.
