Attorneys are set to argue before a judge over whether a 16-year-old suspect should be charged as an adult for murder in connection with the shooting deaths of two Rainier Beach high school students. The suspect, a Renton high school student, was arrested nearly two months after a shooting at a bus stop outside the South Shore PreK-8 school in the area. He faces two counts of first-degree murder and the illegal possession of a firearm while under juvenile supervision. The King County Prosecuting Attorney's office has requested that the suspect be charged and arraigned as an adults. However, this is rare as it can take several months or longer for a judge to make a decision.
