Waymo, the company's driverless cars, have partnered with Waze to offer a pilot project in Atlanta to help city officials find potholes. The pilot program will use Waymo's perception and physical feedback systems to detect and update information on pothole problems in five cities where Waymo operates. The initiative builds on a feature already available in Waze where drivers can report pothholes during their journey. The partnership will be expanded to more cities served by Waymo and Waze, particularly in areas with freeze-thaw cycles. The company has also provided a service for passengers to report unsafe driving from inside a Waymo car.
