2 consumer giants commit US $1.5B to expanding operations in Mexico

Two of the world's largest consumer goods companies, Arca Continental and Nestle, have announced significant investment commitments in Mexico, with 18.5 billion pesos ($1 billion) to invest in its Mexican operations in 2026, half of a global capital deployment that also covers the United States and South America. The funds will be used to expand production and distribution capacity, accelerate digital transformation, and launch new beverage categories. The Swiss company, which has been in Mexico for over 130 years, will also invest $455 million in México state, with $275 million towards existing plants and a new distribution center in Zumpango. Both companies cited sustainability as a key part of their expansion plans.
