Husker softball opens conference action with series sweep over Wolverines

Nebraska softball opened Big Ten play against Michigan in Lincoln with a series sweep, moving the team to 21-5 on the season and 3-0 in Big Ten action, while Michigan fell to 19-3 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The Huskers and Wolverines faced off on Friday night at Bowlin Stadium, with Alexis Jensen claiming the win, moving her to 9-2 on season and allowing two runs on four hits. Michigan's Katelyn Caneda and Ava Kuszak scored two home runs in the second and third innings, respectively, and Nebraska won 5-2. The series finale saw the teams meet again for the weekend sweep. Next up for the Huskers is Michigan State, with a three-game series starting at 4 p.m.
