UCLA women's basketball coach, Cori Close, is preparing for a roster rebuilding following the program's first NCAA title win. The transfer portal opened Monday, with Close expecting to add five new players to the team. The team's top six players are set to leave for the WNBA draft, including Lauren Betts, Kiki Rice, Gabriela Jaquez, Gianna Kneepkens, Angela Dugalic and Charlisse Leger-Walker. The returning players include forward Timea Gardiner, who sat out the season due to knee surgery, and forward Sienna Betts who returned from a lower leg injury. Despite this, Close remains committed to maintaining the team's elite status.
