We Actually Know So Much About ‘Scarpetta’ Season 2

Scarpetta season 2 is definitely happening, with details about when it will return and which of Patricia Cornwall's books it will adapt. The show, which stars Nicole Kidman, Jamie Lee Curtis, Bobby Cannavale, Ariana DeBose and Simon Baker, follows a medical examiner in Virginia, Kay Scarpetta. The second season will deal with the aftermath of the first season and reveal who caught Kay at the end. Showrunner Liz Sarnoff revealed that season 2 will adapt Cornwell's Cruel and Unusual in the past and The Body Farm in the present. They have already written seven of the eight episodes ordered for the second season and are currently in production.
