Huw Edwards hits out at new Channel 5 series, claiming they ‘made no attempt to check’ the ‘truth’

Huw Edwards has criticised Channel 5's new drama series, Power: The Downfall of Huw Edwards, for making no attempt to verify the 'truth' of the series, which is set to air on Channel 5 tomorrow evening (24 March) and stars Martin Clunes as Edwards, who pleaded guilty to three offences of making indecent images of children in 2024. Edwards claims that Channel 5 made no attempts to check the truth of any aspect of their narrative before producing the series. The series is based on Edwards' "downfall" from grace after he was sentenced for possessing indecent images.
