Anduril Industries founder, Palmer Luckey, has stated that the U.S. holds an "extremely small" lead in the AI race, due to authoritarian governments' advantages in deploying new technology. This could pose a risk to U.K. national and economic security. Luckey cited China's success in distilling our models, copying our technology, leveraging open-source AI advancements, as well as their police state, and surveillance apparatus. He also mentioned that he would "definitely" build nuclear weapons, and that he is serious about an underground war. He praised the Defense Department's change in approach to its programs and policies.
