Former Half-Life 2 writer, Chet Faliszek, has criticized Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney and itself for laying off 1,000 people. He argues that the company is one of the world's largest video game companies and that its focus is on making "as much money as possible" as possible. He also suggests that Valve boss Gabe Newell is "better" than him at making games than he is at making them. Despite these criticisms, Falisz maintains that while he made more money than he would ever make, he has no intention of leaving at Epic.
