The Pacific Whale Watch Association (PWWA) has released its 2025 Sightings and Sentinel Actions report, which shows a 12% increase from 2024. The report also revealed that there were 50,323 reports of whale, wildlife, and protective sentinel actions in and around the Salish Sea. These reports were compiled from researchers, ferry captains, professional ship pilots, and the Canadian Coast Guard’s Marine Mammal Desk.
