New photo: 21-year-old driver dies after North Nashville shooting sends car into tree

A shooting in North Nashville, North Carolina, on March 1, has resulted in the death of 21-year-old Joshua Holmes, who was hit by gunfire which caused his vehicle to leave the roadway and crash into a tree. The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he later died. Police recovered a bag containing a modified gun that had been modified to fire automatically, and were arrested for felony possession of a prohibited weapon. The car involved is believed to be a 2020-2022 silver Honda Accord.
