Bay Area woman, Mary Johnsen, was left devastated when a hacker took over her Amazon account, locking her out of her account and locking in all her 16,000 ebooks. She had been reading books for nearly 20 years and regularly spends her money on them. Her Kindle collection includes over 16,500 books. Despite initially believing the books were lost, Johnsen contacted 7 On Your Side to report the hack. The thief used her account to buy two Nintendo Switch video systems and a can of cat food. Within days, she received an instant order of new books in an instant.
