UNC Charlotte fires basketball coach days after making tournament semifinals

The Charlotte 49ers have fired their men's basketball coach, Bob Fearne, just days after they made the American Conference tournament semifinals. Fearne was the head coach for most of the three seasons, and the 49ers posted a 47-51 record over his tenure. The university plans to conduct a national search to find the next head coach.
