Jeff Walz, the head coach of Louisville women's basketball, has led the team to four Final Fours, eight Elite Eights, 12 Sweet 16s and 16 NCAA Tournament berths in 19 years. Known for his intensity, Walz's philosophy is to coach players hard and love them more fiercely. He has challenged the women's community to raise its standards and is known for his emphasis on relationships. Despite accusations of being abrasive, he is considered an excellent coach and an astute coach by Stephanie Norman. After Walz got his first head coaching job at Louisville in 2007, Norman offered her congratulations.
