Norfolk senior with heart disease learns relocation to public housing is delayed

Norfolk senior Doreen White, who has heart disease, was initially scheduled to relocate to the Grandy Village community, where some homes have been renovated. However, two weeks later, the relocation is delayed due to ongoing issues with open sewage and other issues in her home in Young Terrace. White's relocation was delayed after officials from the Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (NRHA) heard her cries for help and planned to relocate White to Grandy village. The NRHA issued a statement addressing questions about the delay and reminded White that the housing inspection still requires for her new unit.
