UNM to launch Bad Bunny fashion course this fall

The University of New Mexico will introduce a fashion course to fans of Puerto Rican rapper and songwriter Bad Bunny, using his iconic outfits to explore the relationship between Puerto Rico and the United States. The course will be taught by Professor Francisco Galarte, who usually teaches a class on the history of fashion and its implications for gender, sexuality, and race. The students will use generative AI to design a look for Bad Bunny and write an explanation of their choices, culminating in a fashion show.
