Judge Rejects Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner's Request to Keep Sex Tape Settlement Private

A court ruling by Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner, who had requested to keep portions of a 2023 settlement agreement with Ray J, regarding the release of a sex tape featuring them in 2003 and 2007, has been denied. The reality TV stars had argued that releasing portions of the deal would harm their privacy and undermine public policy interests in favor of the settlement. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steven A. Ellis ruled that their claims were too vague, speculative, and unsupported to support the sealing order. The couple had previously sued Ray J for defamation, accusing him of fabricating claims that they breached a $6 million settlement over their sex tape by discussing it on their TV series The Kardashians.
