Colorado teen wins Emmy scholarship for documentary on abuse in pro winter sport

Cameron Kirkegaard, a student from Grand Junction High School in Colorado, has won an Emmy Award for producing a documentary about sexual abuse in women's professional winter sport. The $10,000 Douglas W. Mummert Scholarship was awarded to him by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation after judges saw the film "Line of Fire" and its portrayal of the abuse of female athletes. Alongside his acceptance at the ceremony, he addressed the crowd at the event to thank them for their commitment to the truth.
