The United States has approved $23 billion in weapons sales to three Gulf nations, including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Jordan, as the Middle East war continues to escalate. The sales include over $16 billion for air-defense systems, munitions and radar equipment for the three countries, plus an additional $7 billion for an undisclosed amount of weapons. The decision comes as Iran increases its attacks on several energy infrastructure sites across the region following Israeli strikes on its gas facilities.
