Monster sentenced to record-breaking 438 years for over decade of sexual abuse against 6 children

Matthew Cody Ball, a 36-year-old Tennessee sex predator, has been sentenced to a record-breaking 438 years in prison for 13 years of continuous sexual abuse of a child, nine counts of child rape, and various sex crimes against six victims as young as 4. The sentence is without parole and is the longest without parole in Sumner County history, according to District Attorney Thomas Dean. Despite not being eligible for a formal life sentence or the death penalty, Ball will spend nearly half a century behind bars.
