Google has hinted at a new Fitness Health Wearable launch in a 15-second clip posted by NBA star and Google performance advisor, Steph Curry. The video shows Curry playing basketball and wearing a wristband with a strap adjuster on his wrist, which may be similar to the Whoop wrist-based wearable, which recently raised $575 million in funding and is now valued at $10.1 billion. The new wearable may be able to monitor sleep, stress, recovery, and overall health by tracking wrist-related metrics such as skin temperature, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and daily behaviors. In the video, Curry discusses the potential launch and uses AI from Google Cloud insights and its AI basketball coach to improve his game.
