Militants from several Kurdish Iranian factions are preparing for a ground offensive against Iran's regime in the northwestern part of the country, according to U.S. and Israeli officials. The offensive could be coordinated with the U.-Israeli bombing campaign against Tehran, which could increase pressure on the regime and potentially spread internal rebellion to other parts of Iran. The Iranian Kurdish militias are backed by the Mossad and the CIA spy agencies, but the goal is to take a specific territory in the Kurdish region inside Iran to challenge the regime. Israeli officials have promised military support and political support for a Kurdish autonomous region if the regime crumbles. However, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated that President Trump has not agreed to any plan for supporting an offensive by Kurdish Iranian militias.
