DOJ walks back subpoenas in Brennan investigation: Report

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has withdrawn subpoenas related to the investigation into former CIA Director John Brennan, following a criminal referral from Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the chair of the House Judiciary Committee. The DOJ had issued a small number of subpoenas for witnesses to appear before a grand jury in Washington, D.C., but these were withdrawn in favor of voluntary interview requests. Since President Trump took office, the DOJ has launched investigations into Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) and Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.
